Welcome on Frankenstein's site!
Hello, we're Jeon Jun-young and Jung Won-jung
from the Global Communications Department at Kyung Hee University.
We are working on a Capstone design project this semester as an FM team!
As part of teaching English, this website is a tool that helps students
to have fun studying English by themselves, away from traditional and passive education.
Therefore, This site was created to make students learn the novel Frankenstein a little more fun.
This does not mean that this site is only aimed at students who study English!
Office workers who enjoy English literature and want to access English in a new way,
and students studying other majors can also use this site.
On this site, beginners' quizzes and intermediate and
advanced gamers' quizzes are prepared and explained one by one.

First Step
Getting familiar with English
If you are not students continuing to study English now, it would be unfamiliar and challenging to learn English after a long period of time.
Let's get ready to study different English words by becoming familiar with English and activating the brain while watching the video in English!

Of course, you will learn about Frankenstein with Metabus, but it will be far more useful to know the story and characters while reading books in Korean in advance!

In the Metaverse, you can see AI chatbot which helps you to study Frankenstein. after talking with chatbot, watch the video that explains the story just before that room. By watching the video, you are able to understand the whole story about the novel and what you should do in the Metaverse.

Explanation of each room
Storyline of Frankenstein
Room 1
- The room deals with the story of "How Victor got interested in science and created a monster."
- He had Knowledge of "electricity" while watching lightning strike and crush a tree near his home.
- After going to Ingolstadt and studying natural sciences, he succeeded in making the shape of a two-meter-high human to life, but the monster is created.
Room 2
- The room contains the tragedy between Victor's servant Justin, his younger brother William, and the Monster.
- Just before leaving for Geneva, Victor is notified that his younger brother William died of being strangled by a stranger while going for a walk.
- Victor defends her to the end when he finds out that Justin, an innocent servant, was pointed out in the process, but eventually she is executed, and Victor feels guilty in the process.
- In fact, William was killed by the "monster"
Room 3
- The room contains the "wish to become a human being," the first idea the monster had after running away from Victor.
- The story begins in an ordinary cabin where the monster met while wandering in a difficult and tired state.
- The monster wants to remove the shadow of "poverty" by seeing the ordinary lives of the elderly, girls, and young people living in the cabin, and wants to learn "language" to hang out with these people.
- The monster finally has a strong question about himself and wants to be human.
- However, humans who find his real appearance drive him out, and the monster reaches its peak of disappointment and despair for humans, eventually setting the cabin on fire.
Room 4
-The chapter relates the tale of a monster who comes to Victor after being disappointed by humanity and asks him to create a female monster to accompany him the rest of his life.
- After arriving in Geneva, the monster encounters a child who discovers he is Victor's younger brother and kills the child in vengeance.
- And then he promises Victor that if he creates a female monster equal to him, he will flee to South America and become invisible to the rest of the world. Victor is initially embarrassed, but later feels pity and sympathy for him and promises to make the female monster.
- However, Victor is concerned about the issue of reproduction and other negative consequences that may occur if he creates such a monster. He eventually destroys what he was working on when the monster appeared.
Room 5
- The room explains the process of what he did in retaliation for Victor of the monster. The monster, who came to exact revenge on Victor for breaking his promise, warns him that he will be visiting on the night of his wedding and then departs.
- He promises his lover Elizabeth not to be a monster sacrifice as much as possible, and they share a happy moment.
- However, Elizabeth is murdered that night while Victor is walking alone, and Victor discovers the monster's shadow. Eventually, Victor swears vengeance.
Room 6
- The room deals with the resolution of the final resentment between Victor and the monster. Victor, who was chasing the monster in despair and rage, finally finds the monster from a distance and nearly captures his adversary. But two days later, only to miss the monster again due to a storm and drift.
- During the process, he was rescued, told them his story, was in pain, and eventually died. However, it did not answer how the monster was created even while in the process.
- Then a monster appears in front of Victor's remains, tells his story and his guilt, realizes that only his death can end the long fight, and vanishes to the other side of the sea, promising to end it by igniting his body.
